Back By Popular Demand –“Dancing With The Stars” Celebrity Louis Van Amstel to Host an Exclusive Viewing Party for Vancouver Fans! Returning to Vancouver after the successful Canadian launch of “LaBlast” in February, is “Dancing WithThe Stars” fan favorite, world-renowned dancer, coach, and choreographer Louis Van Amstel. Fans of DWTS will have an exclusive opportunity to experience the hit show as they watch the telecast live with Louis on May 22 during the season’s much anticipated semi-finals. Van Amstel will provide interactive commentary as he reveals behind the scenes secrets, answers questions, and shares his experiences from his nine seasons on the hit TV program at The River Rock Theatre. Along with the audience, a panel of Vancouver’s own celebrity judges including Mary Zilba (Real Housewives of Vancouver) and Mashiah Vaughn (Dussault Inc.) will weigh in on the contestants’ performances and cast their votes along with the audience. The evening will benefit the Steve Nash Foundation, which aims to grow healthy kids by funding projects that provide services to underserved children by creating opportunities for education, play, and empowerment. Prior to the Viewing Party, Van Amstel will conduct his popular LaBlast Master Class - a partner-free, dance-based fitness program that people of all ages can participate in to learn dance, get fit, and have fun. Van Amstel was inspired to create “LaBlast” after he saw his celebrity dance partners such as Kelly Osborne and Margaret Cho lose a significant amount of weight during their time on DWTS. LaBlast is designed for all levels, from beginner to advanced, and blends fitness routines and movements in to dance training. Doors open at 5:45pm, The LaBlast Master Class is from 6:30pm to 7:30pm followed by the DWTS Viewing Party at 8:00 pm.
